Why we built this
The official DIA presence calculator only tells you if you are eligible right now. If you are not yet eligible, it returns an error with no guidance on when you will be.
This tool fills that gap. It tells you your estimated eligibility date, tracks your year-by-year progress, and helps you plan travel so you do not accidentally jeopardise your eligibility.
How it works
The calculator implements the physical presence requirements published by the Department of Internal Affairs under the Citizenship Act 1977. You enter your visa grant date and travel history, and it calculates your eligibility date based on the 1,350-day total and 240-day annual minimum requirements.
Privacy
All calculations happen in your browser. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. No passport number is required. No account is needed.
